5th European Human Placental Perfusion Workshop (supported by The Physiological Society)
Ex vivo human placental perfusion has been established as a technique for over 30 years but is now undergoing a renaissance due to its versatility as an experimental model. This workshop aims to bring together new and established perfusionists and others interested in exploiting the model. We aim to make this an informal and enjoyable learning experience, to foster collaborations and link the model with new technologies. Leading clinical and non-clinical scientists will be on hand to assist those interested in establishing the model in their laboratory, provide guidance on tailoring the system to their research questions and help trouble-shoot any problems. This meeting will be using he perfusion system for metabolomics and placental imaging.
