Effective Networking Training

29 July 2015

Royal Society of Biology, Charles Darwin House,,
12 Roger Street,
London WC1N 2JU, United Kingdom

Aim: To build people's confidence and effectiveness at networking. Target audience

This course is suitable for people looking:

  • For a job
  • To change jobs
  • To develop their career
  • To gain more confidence in building relationships

Throughout our careers we all have to attend meetings, conferences and events and yet 90% of us dislike this form of professional engagement. Many of us may make excuses not to engage with strangers and make small talk, and miss out on opportunities as a result.

Networking events are an excellent means of finding new contacts, gaining access to new or different information, building and nurturing existing  relationships and developing opportunities.

Course tutor Heather White is a networking and personal brand expert and will demonstrate how to attend any networking event and have simple but effective techniques on how to break into a group, move away professionally and enjoy interesting and constructive conversations. She will also help you to understand how to stay in touch with those you meet, building long term relationships. This workshop will be very interactive, practical and extremely useful.

Please see a video of Heather in action.
