We are seeking two highly motivated post-doctoral fellows interested in cardiovascular biology. In our research projects we examine the fundamentals of Ca2+ signaling and excitation-contraction coupling of the heart on the cellular and molecular level, in various mouse of cardiac diseases. State-of-the art methods are applied including confocal Ca2+ imaging with and the patch-clamp technique. This position provides excellent training opportunities in a highly interactive and networked environment. We also offer the possibility to learn the recently developed technique of UV-laser and two-photon excitation photolysis of novel caged compounds. For further details see our web-site. This junior post-doc position (<3 years after PhD) is available starting June 1st 2018 and is funded for 2 years by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Requirements: PhD in a biological or physical discipline (or equivalent training). Skills in the used techniques are required. Cardiovascular background knowledge and German language skills would be an asset. To apply please send CV, statements of research interests and 3 references to:
