Research Assistant in Nutrition and Metabolism (Fixed Term, Part Time)
We are looking to appoint a Research Assistant to work on a Nutrition and Metabolism research project funded by ARLA Foods Ingredients, investigating the role of key nutrients in dairy products on metabolism, appetite and circulating gut hormone concentrations in humans in vivo. The successful candidate will be working in the Department for Health on the main campus at the University of Bath.
The successful candidate will gain experience in human physiology techniques related to nutrition and metabolism, such as indirect calorimetry, blood biochemistry and energy balance measurement. Supervision will be provided by Dr Javier Gonzalez, Dr James Betts, Professor Dylan Thompson and their research teams.
An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject such as, Nutrition; Physiology; Sport & Exercise Science (with substantial Physiology content) is essential. Experience of conducting projects of this type would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
This is a part time (0.6 FTE), fixed term contract for up to 6 months.
