Mentoring scheme

Do you need some advice about your next career step? Looking for motivation? Or maybe you have insight to share?

In March 2012, The Physiological Society is running a fresh round of our mentoring scheme, with any Member being encouraged to take part. Mentees and Mentors will be invited to a one-day training session in London on 29th March. We are very happy to announce this will take place in the Gordon Museum at King's College London.

Following this training day, mentors and mentees and will receive financial support for the following 12 months. This will enable mentor-mentee pairs to meet up, develop their relationship and get the most out of this opportunity.

Mentees will generally be at an early stage in their career or looking to change career path and they will be looking for advice, support or networking opportunities. Whilst Mentors will typically be more established scientists, they too can benefit, with mentoring relationships providing increased motivation, understanding of the issues facing other staff members, as well as the opportunity to provide support to the wider scientific community.
