Mentoring scheme

Do you need some advice about your next career step? Looking for motivation? Or maybe you have insight to share?

The Physiological Society is running a fresh round of our mentoring scheme in 2013 and all Members are eligible to take part. Mentees and Mentors will be invited to a one-day training session in London on Wednesday 10 April. Training will take place at The Society's new home, Hodgkin Huxley House. An outline of the training day can be downloaded below.

Following this training day, mentors and mentees and will receive some financial support for the following 12 months, to enable them to meet, develop their relationship and get the most out of this opportunity.

Mentees will generally be at an early stage in their career or looking to change career path and they will be looking for advice, support or networking opportunities. Whilst Mentors will typically be more established scientists, they too can benefit, with mentoring relationships providing increased motivation, understanding of the issues facing other staff members, as well as the opportunity to provide support to the wider scientific community.
