Free media workshop places available to Members

Podcast interviewFive spaces are on offer to Members to attend Sense About Science's Standing up for Science media workshop, which takes place at the University of Manchester on March 23.

The Workshop is designed for early-career researchers and are an excellent opportunity to learn from the experiences of scientists who have previously worked with the media, and to hear from BBC journalists and university press officers about what makes a 'story’.  These courses are extremely popular and spaces are limited; however we have reserved five spaces for Society Members.

The Society is keen to encourage and support the next generation of researchers to communicate their research; engage with the public and ensure their voice is heard in debates on scientific issues; therefore we really encourage Society Members to take up this opportunity.

The deadline for applications is 9 March. To apply, please send your CV and a short cover letter to Victoria Murphy at Sense about Science.

We’d also love to hear from you too, if you attend the workshop. If you do, please let us know.
