Europhysiology initiative agreed

The Presidents of The Physiological Society (Richard Vaughan-Jones), the Scandinavian Physiological Society (Tomi Taira), the Deutsche Physiologische Gesellschaft (Rolf-Detlef Treede) and the Federation of European Physiological Societies (Markus Hecker) are delighted to announce an agreement to co-host a series of biennial joint meetings. The series will begin in London from 14 to 16 September 2018 at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in the heart of Westminster, and will subsequently be organised in Germany (2020) and Scandinavia in 2022. The meetings will replace the meetings of the Societies in those years.

Richard Vaughan-Jones commented, "I am delighted and excited about this historic initiative that will bring together the three biggest physiological societies in Europe and the Federation of European Physiological Societies in such a collaborative fashion. Science should be borderless and we hope this venture will appeal not only to members of our respective societies, but also the wider international physiological community."
