Pharmacology Futures 2018

17 May 2018

National Museum of Scotland,
Chambers St,
Edinburgh EH1 1JF, United Kingdom

It will be 250 years since the founding of a separate Chair of Materia Medica in Edinburgh, probably the first chair of what would become pharmacology in the world. This rich history of Edinburgh Pharmacology is being celebrated with a meeting on Pharmacology’s Future, one that highlights the importance of pharmacology in scientific discovery, the creation of new medicines, and in understanding and minimising toxicity. Hosted by Edinburgh’s Pharmacology Community, this meeting will showcase world-class pharmacology from both the UK and across the globe and will explore the technologies and skills that will drive drug development over the next 10 to 15 years. It will be of particular interest to researchers from across science and medicine.

A conference dinner to follow the event: tickets available to buy when registering online.
