Exercise Physiology Laboratory Technician

The Department for Health is seeking to appoint an Exercise Physiology Laboratory Technician to provide technical and teaching support for teaching and research activities in Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences. We are looking for somebody with good technical, communication and organisational skills, with a passion for sport, exercise and health. You will work with our team of technicians and academic staff to deliver the highest quality of teaching and research.

Our Department is a vibrant community providing excellent facilities and support for teaching and research. Our team of 3 technicians work with our teaching and research staff and PhD students in the provision of teaching across undergraduate programmes in Sport and Exercise Science, Health and Exercise Science and Sports Performance and research activities organised around three themes: Lifelong Health and Wellbeing, Improving Human Function, and a Fair and Vibrant Society. Our taught programmes are some of the highest ranked in UK and the World, and in the most recent Research Excellence Framework exercise (REF2014), we returned staff across three Units of Assessment, ranking 5th (Sport & Exercise Science) and 6th (Allied Health Professions), with ~90% of our outputs rated as world-leading or internationally excellent.
