This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the triumphs of our community during the Award Ceremony, as well as hear from a notable speaker in our President’s Lecture. Members can attend The President’s Lecture and Award Ceremony either in person at the Royal Society in London or online. Please select the appropriate option during the booking process. We are delighted to announce that this year’s lecture will be given by Sir Jeremy Farrar, OBE FRCP FRS FMedSci
Sir Jeremy is a medical researcher who has served as Chief Scientist at the World Health Organization since 2023*. He was previously the director of the Wellcome Trust from 2013 to 2023 and a professor of tropical medicine at the University of Oxford.
When booking online, there is also the option to join us for our ‘Member Forum‘, which will be happening prior to The President’s Lecture from 14:30-17:00 GMT. For those attending in person, the two events will be held in the same building. Our Member Forum will provide you with an opportunity to hear about our recent activities and exciting plans for the future. There will be a chance to meet the new Trustees of The Society and thank demitting Trustees. There will also be opportunities throughout the Member Forum to ask questions, whether you are attending in-person or online.
