Who can apply?

For established and early career physiologists, scientists, and clinicians in academic, industry or the healthcare sector. You must have at least four years’ experience in physiology or a related discipline and/or an appropriate qualification (e.g. a PhD in physiology, or a related subject or an MD).

How much does it cost?

Within five years of your PhD:

Membership is £4.91 per month if you are within five years of your PhD (or less than nine years since undergraduate) and you pay via Direct Debit. If you would prefer to pay annually, the cost will be £59 per annum.

More than five years’ experience since PhD:

For those who have more than five years’ experience since PhD, membership is £9.83 per month by Direct Debit or £118 per annum.

Paying via Direct Debit

Spread the cost of membership across the year by paying in monthly instalments. Paying via Direct Debit is straightforward and allows you to renew your membership automatically, saving you time and, crucially, ensuring uninterrupted access to member benefits and maintaining your membership record. This allows you to build up consecutive membership and unlock our grant opportunities. Plus, no more emails reminding you that it is time to renew!

You can cancel your direct debit payment anytime via your mobile banking app.
