150 Years of Discovery

In 2026, the Physiological Society celebrates its 150th anniversary: a landmark moment to celebrate physiologists past and present, the discoveries that have shaped our understanding of the body, and the community driving physiology forward.

Lab Lunch Week

The 31 March 2026 marked 150 years since the Society’s founding. To mark our anniversary, members across the globe gathered together and hosted ‘Lab Lunches‘ during our week long celebration (30 March – 2 April).

As we grabbed our birthday bunting and party hats, we looked ahead with thought-provoking questions to inspire discussion, reflection, and fresh ideas for the future of physiology.

Be part of our history. Celebrate our 150th anniversary with Lab Lunch Week (30 March - 2 April 2026). After your 'Lab Lunch', share your thoughts with us. You can send us photos, videos, animated posters, word clouds; the more creative the better!

Join us to shape the next 150 years of physiology. With reduced fees and a free Associate category, our global physiology community has never been easier to join.
