The Physiological Society is pleased to announce that Professor Roger Thomas has been appointed as Editor of Physiology News, the Society’s quarterly membership magazine.
Roger, who will be known to many members, is a long-standing member of The Society, an Honorary Member and frequent contributor to PN as well as many other Society activities. He was a Committee member (the predecessor of Council) between 1977 and 1979. Roger takes over from Dr Mike Collis, who completed his two-year term of office. Our thanks go to Mike.
Roger, who is Emeritus Professor of Physiology at the University of Cambridge, said:
“I am delighted to be appointed, and will do my best to help make PN essential reading for all members of the Society.”
Richard Vaughan-Jones said:
“We are delighted that Roger is taking over as Editor of PN. He is a long-standing and distinguished supporter of The Society and I am delighted his experience and enthusiasm will be providing leadership to PN over the next few years.”
The next issue of PN will be an Ageing and Degeneration special, out in April. We actively encourage members to contribute items to PN – Please contact us at magazine@physoc.org should you wish to do so.
