Hypoxic Pulmonary Vasoconstriction: The Potassium Channel Question. – Alison Garney (p.13)

Potassium channels can act as sensors of oxygen in a wide range of tissues. In the pulmonary circulation they have been proposed to act as mediators of the vasoconstrictor response to hypoxia, known as hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction or HPV.
