Peter Aldiss

Chair, Affiliate Working Group

Peter Aldiss is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham. During his PhD at the University of Nottingham he investigated the impact of obesity, ambient temperature and exercise training on adipose tissue biology and his research now focusses on Nicotinamide Riboside, the NAD+ precursor, and the NR kinases in the regulation of skeletal muscle biology. He joined the Society in 2016 and attended his first Physiology conference in Dublin that year. Shortly after he became a member of the Affiliate Working Group before becoming chair in 2018 and joining Council in 2019. He is also a member of the European Young Endocrine Society committee and the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion committee at the University of Birmingham.
