Enhancing the UK’s preparedness and resilience to climate change
We are working with the Foundation of Science & Technology and the Council for Science and Technology (the government’s top-level advisory body on science & technology) on a high level policy discussion focused on how to enhance the UK’s preparedness and resilience to climate change.
The event will explore how the UK can strengthen climate preparedness and resilience, grounded in the latest scientific advice to government. We are also pleased that the Physiological Society’s President, Professor Mike Tipton, will be speaking, bringing a vital physiological perspective to the discussion.
Why attend?
- To understand why climate resilience must be grounded in human physiology, including tolerance, vulnerability and safety limits
- To hear how insights from the Society’s Global Climate and Health Summit are shaping thinking on thresholds, limits and adaptation
- To engage with policymakers and experts on how physiological evidence can better inform national climate preparedness and resilience planning
