The Society regrets to announce the death of Ann Margaret Alderson, who had been a member of The Society since the 1960s. Ann pursued a career in physiology as a researcher and academic. During the time she worked at the Department of Physiology at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College in London, Ann and her colleague, Jennifer Maclagan, published their paper ‘The action of decamethonium and tubocurarine on the respiratory and limb muscles of the cat’ in The Society’s The Journal of Physiology in 1964.
