An exciting opportunity exists to teach physiology to medical students in Cornell University’s medical school – Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar (WCMQ) in Education City in Doha, Qatar.

This unique collaboration between Cornell University and the Qatar Foundation, was started in 2002. Education City is host to 5 other US universities, as well Qatar’s national library, Arabian horse research unit and major sporting amenities (Qatar hosted last year’s FIFA World Cup).

Required Qualifications

  • The applicant must have Ph.D., MD or equivalent degree in physiology or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of significant physiology teaching experience in a university or academic health system.
  • Proficiency in all areas of human physiology.
  • A record of excellence in teaching and scholarship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to applicants who provide evidence of their successful involvement in the development and delivery of innovative approaches to teaching and who demonstrate their strong record of excellence in and commitment to teaching.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who provide evidence of their successful involvement in scholarly activity.
  • An essential skill in administration is preferred
