Note: Postgraduate Members are non-voting members.
How much does it cost?
- In 2025, the Postgraduate membership annual subscription fee is £35
- From 1 January 2026, Postgraduate membership annual subscription fees will be £17.50.
The Society will process your data in accordance with our Fair Processing Notice.
How do I pay?
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit or debit card
- Direct Debit for UK Account Holders. Download the direct debit instructions for your bank for your bank which must be posted to us. We will not accept electronic or faxed instructions.

Paying via Direct Debit
Spread the cost of membership across the year by paying in monthly instalments. Paying via Direct Debit is straightforward and allows you to renew your membership automatically, saving you time and, crucially, ensuring uninterrupted access to member benefits and maintaining your membership record. How do I apply?
Click on Join now and you will be taken to the online application form. As part of your application you will be required to provide a letter of support from your supervisor, confirming your PhD, or a CV outlining your past and current working experience.
