Impact of Health Service Reforms on clinical medical education – Peter Fentem (p.18)
It makes sense for teachers of the basic medical sciences to take an interest in the problems of the medical school as a whole in factors which affect the later stages of the careers of their students. The clinical academic departments are most obviously at risk from the effects of the Health Service reforms but departments cannot isolate themselves from the general financial or academic difficulties of their faculty if they occur.
