Veterinarians, Research, Academia and What’s Next? – Andy Trafford (p.26)

In a moment of weakness I agreed to throw together a small article covering these topics to appear in the King’s meeting edition of the magazine. It is only now when I am actually sitting down and fabricating this opus that I ask myself why would anyone be interested in the specific ‘problems’ faced by a veterinary graduate deciding between the relative merits of a research based career and a life outside; freezing cold and wet, trying to replace Daisy’s prolapsed uterus with nothing more than an empty wine bottle and a torch.
