There is an acknowledged skills shortage in integrative physiology, and in vivo skills is identified by the BBSRC as a ‘Strategically important and vulnerable area of UK Bioscience Expertise’, and the ABPI has recommended establishing a taught Masters course that targets ‘hands-on’ training to those most likely to use those skills in future careers. In response to these concerns, we run an intensive MRes course to redress the erosion of practical classes in undergraduate courses, and equip students to begin PhD programs with the requisite skills. Please see the flier below for more details.
