Congratulations to our 2019 Otto Hutter Prize winner: James Clark, King’s College London, UK.
James has demonstrated a range of innovation both inside and outside the traditional classroom environment to improve student performance.
As well as being heavily involved in the formation of the KCL Wilderness Medicine Society and the KCL student Physiology Society, James has redesigned the practical aspect of a 3rd year physiology module in order to enhance the learning experience for students. James has also developed a tutorial website for physiology students, which offers a wide range of tutorials on data analysis, presentation and production of written reports.
James said: “I am delighted to have been awarded the Otto Hutter teaching prize for 2019. Teaching physiology and running a physiology programme is an enormous pleasure and something that I feel I am very lucky to be able to do. It is an honour to be recognised by The Physiological Society with the prize and I would like to thank the staff of the Physiology Department at King’s College London for making it such a great environment to work in”.
