It’s the last chance to submit your symposia proposals for IUPS 2013, which takes place on 21-26 July, 2013 at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham, UK.
Up to £3000 GBP is available for selected symposia, to cover travel, accommodation and subsistence of speakers. Speakers and the organiser will also have their registration fees waived. The IUPS International Scientific Programme Committee (ISPC) are inviting proposals that offer topical, high impact symposia with international calibre speakers. Proposers are also asked to consider both the geographic and gender balance when proposing symposia speakers. Successful proposers will be notifed by the end of March 2012.
All submissions will undergo peer review and to ensure a range of topics are represented in the final programme, the ISPC reserves the right to alter the proposed speaker list. Therefore, please do not contact speakers at this stage.
Symposia propsals are invited in the following format:
- one organiser (who will also act as the Chair)
- three senior leaders in the field (allocated 30 minutes)
- two ‘early-career’ individuals (allocated shorter 15 minute slots)
- A total of two hours.
