The Society has launched three new Themes and is inviting applications for new Theme Leads. Our new Themes for 2019 are:
- Cardiac and Vascular Physiology
- Endocrinology
- Metabolic Physiology
Sue Deuchars, Chair of Meetings Committee, said: “The Theme Leads and meetings committee welcomed the chance to revisit our Themes. We hope that these changes reflect the diverse interests of our members and allow for interactions within and between themes that help to enhance our interdisciplinary research.”
Our seven Themes create networks to discuss the latest findings and forge new collaborations, with Theme Leads acting as the focal point for Members. Theme Leads represent one of The Society’s seven Themes as a main academic co-ordinator of the topic area, helping to promote the Theme activities and encourage Members and non-Members to participate in Society events.
The Physiological Society is currently looking to appoint new Theme Leads for the following themes:
- Cardiac and Vascular Physiology (new theme for 2019)
- Endocrinology (new theme for 2019)
- Epithelia and Membrane Transport
- Metabolic Physiology (new theme for 2019)
The new Theme Lead will be expected to take up post from May 2019.
Applications will close on 25 February 2019.
