Sir Patrick Vallance, FRS FMedSci FRCP, Government Chief Scientific Adviser (GCSA) and an Honorary Member of The Physiological Society, has been elevated to Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath in the New Year’s Honours. Having previously been knighted in 2019, this honour was given for his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, including forming the Vaccines Task Force.
