The Science Communication Manager will devise and manage the implementation of The Society’s communications plan, undertaking activities to deliver it within budget. The post-holder will manage all communication channels, including media, digital, print production, corporate communications and external engagement, bringing a creative and forward-thinking approach in delivery, including the management of the annual budget. You will manage and develop processes to promote The Society activities, identifying creative opportunities to raise the profile of physiology and promote The Society’s messages, working with external organisations to deliver these when required.
The role has responsibility for social media management, website content, media releases as well as managing the production of The Society’s quarterly membership magazine, Physiology News. Working closely with the Editorial Board to ensure it engages the membership and promotes The Society’s activities and messages. Responsibilities also include media production and social media strategy and management. The provision of effective communication tools and guidance for colleagues across a range of platforms is also an integral part of the role.
