The 2012 Young Life Scientists’ Symposium, entitled Future Challenges for Systems Medicine, will take place on 27 June at the Nowgen Centre, Manchester.
The aim of the day is to bridge the gap between clinical approaches and basic science; submissions can be made for both posters and oral sessions, examining a range topics from both perspectives. There are a range of keynote speakers, including Professor Mark Richardson, Professor Sui Huang and Professor Pedro Mendes.
The event is aimed at early-career life scientists and is organised by Ben Small, Marc Goodfellow and Yusur Al-Nuaimi, who are all early-career scientists themselves.
The deadline for registration is 15 May and is free. Young Life Scientists’ Symposia are a joint project between the Biochemical Society, the British Pharmacological Society and The Physiological Society.
For more information on the meeting go to the Future Challenges for Systems Medicine website. More information on the YLS scheme can be found on the early-career pages.
