Why is physiology important for public health and ageing?

As a discipline that focuses on the functions and mechanisms of the body and their maintenance throughout life, ageing is an excellent lens through which to demonstrate the benefits of the broad and interconnected nature of physiology and how its continued study will be crucial to learn more about the interdisciplinary effects of ageing
