Dr David Flower

RNLI, Appleton Institute, Adelaide and University of Portsmouth, UK

Dr Flower is an accredited specialist in occupational medicine with a special interest in fitness for work and the ageing workforce. He has written and presented on physical employment standards for the ageing workforce and until 2021 was a Member of Her Majesty’s Secretary of State’s Honorary Medical Advisory Panel on Driving and Diabetes Mellitus, the role of which is to establish medical standards for drivers with diabetes. He retired from full time employment with bp in 2021 but remains a Member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the RNLI, an Adjunct Professor at the Appleton Institute, Adelaide and a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the University of Portsmouth.
