Professor Charlotte Bolton

Charlotte’s research focuses on chronic respiratory disease, mainly COPD, with a focus on extrapulmonary manifestations and the role of pulmonary rehabilitation/ exercise. She is currently researching the persisting symptoms of patients recovering from COVID-19, including mechanistic studies and symptom burden.

Charlotte is a co-investigator on the BLF Early COPD cohort (BE-COPD) and previously of several large consortia including MRC/ABPI COPD MAP and Technology Strategy Board “ERICA”.
