ADInstruments creates easy-to-use, high-quality tools to help scientists and educators record and analyse data quickly and efficiently. TPS members will soon be able to access ADInstruments excellent design, usability and premium service as part of their membership package.
New joint resources including ADInstruments’ Lending Library
TPS members will have access to a Lending Library providing data acquisition equipment for pilot studies, significantly enhancing their ability to plan, conduct and redesign practical experiments, and strengthen grant applications. A short term loan of data acquisition hardware and software will be available for both education and research applications.
Mid-Career Researcher Awards
TPS and ADInstruments will be offering two new awards for outstanding mid-career researchers and educators to acknowledge their contributions to the field of physiology. TPS members and non-members can apply for the opportunity to receive £500 and an award. If the prize winner is a non-member, they would also receive a one-year complimentary TPS membership.
Education and teaching
At TPS, we want to inspire future generations of physiologists and widen participation in the discipline. Our education and teaching community are at the forefront of this effort. Devising ways to best share their subject knowledge and passion, mentoring students and raising awareness of both research-based and education-based careers. It is this community who can shape students’ futures and encourage the pathways to follow. Having ADInstruments resources available through TPS can support our education and teaching community in this endeavour.
Announcing the partnership, TPS Chief Executive Dariel Burdass said:
“We are delighted that this partnership will provide TPS members with vital training, research tools and funding, particularly for our education and teaching community. Incorporating ADInstruments’ high-quality equipment and software into our membership offer will strengthen support for physiologists and enhance the inclusive benefits available through our new membership model for 2026.”
Phil Griffiths ADInstruments General Manager for Europe said:
“This partnership between ADInstruments and the Physiological Society marks an exciting opportunity for us to work closely together on our shared goals of facilitating high quality physiology research and education. We look forward to supporting key events over the next 12 months to bring the UK physiology community together.”
